Background and History

Prema’s Urban Farm is a new urban farm located centrally in the city of Palm Springs. The goal of the farm is to grow produce that is not only climate-appropriate but crops that are resilient to the current climate conditions. The soil structure is completely sand and the farmer is currently working on building the soil by extensive mulching and composting. The farm is committed to educating and inspiring the community, sharing the wisdom of Permaculture and the importance of local food sovereignty through workshops, tours, and collaborative projects.
